PhMuseum Days returns to Bologna October 1–4 with Archipelago, a program of exhibitions, screenings, conversations and books spread across the city. Its main venue is Ex Ospedale dei Bastardini; installations and events extend to the Archiginnasio, public billboards, PhMuseum Lab and other spaces.

Start with the work.

Robin Alysha Clemens presents How To Carry A Home at the main venue. Caro Mirzoyan’s Absolute: Tehran Cats appears on the former municipality billboards in Via dell’Abbadia. The lineup also includes projects by Daniel Martínez, Allegra Baggio Corradi and Francisco Cantón. Their approaches belong to distinct bodies of work; the festival connects them through a program, not one visual formula.

Photobook Mania joins the festival October 3–4 at Serra Madre in Giardini Margherita, bringing independent photographic publishing into the same citywide conversation. The Archiginnasio collective installation runs September 19–October 8 and is listed as free to visit.

PhMuseum lists a €10 day pass and a €15 full-festival pass; some public installations are free. See its venue-by-venue schedule before visiting, since the exhibitions do not all share the same dates or admission arrangements.
